NEET Application Form 2025: Date, Process, Exam Fee, And Application Correction Details

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in pen and paper mode. All the candidates should fill out the application form to appear for the NEET exam. The details regarding the application process are given below:

NEET Application Update

The National Testing Agency (NTA) that conducts NEET has issued a notice regarding APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) and Aadhar card. NTA encourages the NEET candidates to use the APAAR ID as well as the Aadhaar-based authentication during the application process. However, APAAR ID is not compulsory for NEET registration. Students can choose other applicable ways to register for NEET exam. The students are advised to:

  • Update the Aadhar as per the 10th mark sheet or the passing certificate
  • Link Aadhar with a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication
  • Update Aadhar credentials including facial recognition data

Candidates can visit the nearest Aadhar enrollment/update center to update their Aadhar card.

NEET Registration and Application Process

Candidates have to login to the official NTA website to register for NEET exam. They will get an application number. They can use it for filling out the application form.

Steps to register for the NEET 2025 exam

  1. Visit the NTA official website - https://neet.nta.ac.in
  2. Search and click the ‘NEET(UG)-2025 Registration and Online Application Form’ option displayed on the home page under ‘Candidate Activity’
  3. Register and note down the system generated application number. This will be required while filling in the application form.
  4. Create a password
  5. Choose a security question and enter an answer
  6. Submit the entered personal details
  7. An application number will be generated. Note it down for future reference

Steps to apply for NEET 2025

  1. Visit the NTA official website - https://neet.nta.ac.in
  2. Login using the pre-created password and system generated application number
  3. Fill the application form
  4. Fill the required details
  5. Upload the images and documents (if any)
  6. Make sure that all the information provided in the application is correct as the information provided cannot be edited after the application is submitted.
  7. The application process remains incomplete without successful payment of application fee
  8. The complete application process is online

Application Fee Payment

After filling in the application form, pay the application fee.

  1. Only online fee payment is acceptable.
  2. Candidates can use net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI as modes of online payment to pay the application fee.
  3. You must pay for the processing fee and GST along with the application fee.
  4. After the successful submission of application form and application fee, a confirmation page of the online application form will be generated. In case the confirmation is not generated, contact the bank or payment gateway. Download and save this confirmation page for future reference.
  5. NTA facilitates the students with platforms like UMANG and Digilocker to download and save important documents like confirmation page and admit card.

NTA has released a set of guidelines for the photo that the candidate uploads while registering for NEET.

NEET Application Correction

NTA offers an application correction facility in the correction window. This correction window will be open from 9 to 11 March. Candidates can use the correction window to make changes only in some fields in the submitted application form. They can only carry out permissible corrections in the correction window from their login account. Some details such as name, email ID, and mobile number cannot be edited after submitting the application form.
Any discrepancy with the photograph and signature displayed on the confirmation page or the admit card should be immediately brought to the notice of NEET authorities. The candidates can use the helpline between 10 am to 5 pm to convey such concerns to the authorities. The requested changes may not reflect immediately on the admit card. In such cases, the candidate has to use the downloaded admit card while appearing for the NEET exam. The NTA will send an email to inform about any corrections in the photograph and signature. The corrections will also be reflected in the login account.
